The center has opened in 1994, and since then gave its services to many people from all over the world. Under the supervision of master Ashok Gurukkal, a team of both man and woman practitioners, give all the variety of serviecs.
Ashok Gurukkal was born in 1955 in Malaparamba, Kozhikode district of Kerala. at the age of 16 he started his training under the famous E. P. Vasudevan gurukkal, studying Kalaripayattu and the Kalari healing system for 10 years. after that he went on to study Traditional ayurvedic medicine under Thangayya Ashan, both well known practitioners of ayurvedic medicine, and also practiced with them.
In 1994 he opened the Indian Ayurvedic Helth Center, located at Vashi, Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra), with the aim of providing Kerala's own Kalari treatment system in an authentic and undiluted form.
Ashok Gurukkal has also had the opportunity to travel to the Gulf, Germany, Russia, Spain and France fulfilling his strong desire to teach and spread the knowledge of ayurveda.
